Cellulite is a common problem between women over thirty. Cellulite is fatty and fibrous connective tissue that gives skin a dimpled and puckered look. Contrary to common belief, cellulite is not necessarily related to being overweight. Some slim women may develop cellulite while some obese women may have no cellulite whatsoever. Cellulite usually affects thighs and buttocks.

You should be aware that most cellulite cures are not as effective as advertisement might suggest. The effectiveness of most creams and lotions is very questionable. Most can’t provide any scientific evidence of the results they promise. Lasers do not have any effect on cellulite, nor does liposuction. Cellulite removal is not an easy task. Some women, however, found improvement through outer thigh and buttock lift.
Some women benefit from Endermologie. This treatment uses rollers and suctioning to massage areas affected by cellulite, which will supposedly break fat and cellulite. It is a painless, even pleasant procedure. Each Endermologie session lasts about 30 minutes but a series of treatments is necessary for visible results. You should see the results within ten sessions. Most people need fifteen-twenty sessions. After that monthly maintenance sessions are necessary. Unfortunately Endermologie is not cheap. Price range for single session is between $50-$130.
This cellulite treatment works best in combination with a diet and exercise, or you might not be able to see any results at all. Some claim that the results could be achieved through diet and exercise alone, but others believe that the results are much better than what could be expected from traditional diet and exercise. This makes Endermologie somewhat controversial.
Like with everything else, your best bet for preventing or reducing cellulite is also the least expensive: stick to a good diet and maintain regular exercise. Consider using the money you would otherwise spend on expensive cellulite removal treatments to get a membership in a good gym.
