Positive Thinking - Keys to Happiness

Positive thinking is key to happiness. If you think negatively no amount of money, recognition, beauty and fame will make you happy. Moreover, positive thinking helps you to achieve whatever you dream about (see Mind Power: Autosuggestion for more details). The way you see the world works as filter. If you see the world through negative filters, you will have negative experience. If you see the world through positive filters, you will have positive experience. The way your thinking is formed depends on your history unless you practice autosuggestion. In all cases, it can be fixed now by identifying the filters through which you see the world and consciously changing them by using autosuggestion .

Your thinking determines whether you are happy or sad, because whatever happens in your life is interpreted by you. Once you realize that you have choice how to interpret it, you realize that you hold keys to happiness in your hand. Any circumstance that happens in your life will have value that YOU will give it. If you see the circumstance through the filters of negative thinking you will see it as negative even if it is commonly considered as positive. You will find something to be upset about anyhow. On the other hand, if you see it through filters of positive, you will find something positive even in case of occurrence of negative event. For example, if you get into the car accident and suffer pain and damage to your car, you can decide that now you learned the lesson that you can share with others. True, the damage will still be there, but you will FEEL good, that's what matters after all. Sure, it may be not a good thing for you that you got hurt and lost your car, but you can improve the situation by calming yourself and feeling in peace. Moreover, you can choose to learn from this experience and share it with others, saving them from trial and error that you had to go through to learn it. So, while you obviously don't have choice when it comes to some things that happen in your life, you still have choice when it comes to how you see these things.

If something negative happened to you as a child, which resulted a habit of viewing the world negatively and thinking negatively, the only worst thing is to let this event to determine your experience when you are adult. As a child you didn't have choice, but as adult you do have a choice of how you interpret your experiences.

Acknowledging that you choose your perception, i.e. filters through which you see the world, is crucial in your pursuit of happiness. Once you understand how this process works, looking at the bright sight of any event that happens in your life will become a habit. Once it becomes your habit you will seldom find yourself upset and unhappy.
