Noble Knight in Shining Armor

Noble Knight in Shining Armor is one of many different types of men. When he was a little boy he was obsessed with romantic tales about knights, princesses, dungeons and dragons. The princess always had a problem of some kind that the knight had to deal with. If she was a happy princess it would be quite disappointing, because there would be no story in the first place. When our hero grew up, things stayed pretty much the same. He is simply not attracted to strong confident women. In fact, he finds them intimidating, which makes him back off. Never mind, he has strong passion for women with air of sadness around them, women that he could rescue from something or someone.
This may seem noble and it is to some extend, but if you dig a little deeper, you'll find that his motives are quite complicated. Beneath the knightly appearance there is a gnawing sense of insecurity and fear that his masculinity will be challenged in some way. Moreover, solving woman's problems makes him feel superior and in control. It gives him a taste of power that is so intoxicating for someone who is truly weak inside. Also, there is an additional benefit in his approach - while solving woman's problems and fixing all kind of stuff for her, he forgets his own problems and weaknesses.
You will recognize your noble knight by the way he is listening to you. He listens very attentively and asks questions trying to force you to open up and talk. If you manage to get him to reveal something about his past romances, you will see that his partners had dependent and weak position. Women with problems. Troubled women. Now he is looking for something he can fix for you. If you happened to be a happy self-sufficient woman, he will be disappointed and will move on looking for someone who needs him more than you.
On the other hand, a woman that is weak and emotional will appeal to him. She is soothing his insecurities and fears of challenged masculinity. She makes him feel superior, stronger and more in control. Because he is truly weak and fearful, this feeling has a drug-like effect on him.

Her weakness, be it physical weakness or emotional, is immensely flattering to him. Now he can have a thrill of playing noble knight in shining armor - his childhood ideal. Conversely, a woman that displays no weaknesses elicits in him envy and fear. With her he feels emasculated and even if they get together, this usually will not continue for very long. He will leave her for woman that actually has some needs and is not afraid to display them.
To appeal to your Noble Knight in Shining Armor, you need to unlearn repressing your vulnerabilities. You do not necessarily need to be a troubled woman, but you need to give him a thrill of fixing something for you. It might be as minor as putting smile on your face. This is that rare case when your weakness is your power. If you are a successful woman, allow him an occasional glimpse into the soft side of your character. He will get all excited and energized. Allow him to feel that you need him for something. Something that you can't do on your own. A woman that appears too much in control will turn him off. He will fall in love with the one who manages to seem sexually appealing and in need of his protection at the same time.
Crying has a huge emotional impact on him. His desire to comfort you will quickly turn into love. Be aware, however, if you misjudged his type, you may annoy him and turn him off for good.
It is needless to say that when taken to extreme, the relationship with Noble Knight in Shining Armor may be very unhealthy, but if you enjoy chivalrous attention you may be quite happy in it. After all, your weaknesses are your power here. All you need to do is to inject some drama from time to time.
