Make a list of things you dream house should have. Now when we are back to reality we will begin by prioritizing the points in your list. Decide what is the most important on your list and think carefully what you can do about it. Do not say yourself no, you can’t have it. Instead get creative and find a compromise that could satisfy your desires and would be affordable at the same time.

Let’s say you want a whole wall dedicated to books. If you don’t have enough space for this you could practically replace that by shelves and book storage units.
If your family members want a cinema room, but for some reason you can’t afford it, you could bring this dream closer by getting a hide-away projector, curtains and a comfortable couch.
If you want to have a rose garden, but you live in a tiny apartment, would planters on your balcony would somehow satisfy you? It might not be the same thing, but once you allow yourself to pursue your dreams, you might be amazed at what you actually might have. Once you are done with your top priority, get started with whatever is next on your list.
You might not have an extra room to create a dedicated library, but most probably you can find a quiet corner where you could squeeze a chair and a table piled with books. Make the most out of every available space you have including balconies and hallways.
Remodeling your home according to your dreams doesn’t mean merely comfort. Ultimately it means making your house a happier place to be.
