We wrote a lot about vitamin C here, but I have found some more absolutely shocking facts about vitamin C. Ladies, vitamin C is more fragile that you thought.
Just look at this:
– Oranges lose 30 percent of vitamin C after squeezing.
– Frozen fruits and vegetables have 25 percent less vitamin C than their fresh version.
– Vitamin C content of apples decreases by 67 percent after two to three months of being picked.
– Potatoes lose about two-thirds of their vitamin C only after six months and all of it two to three months later.
It seems that unless you make a conscious effort to consume more vitamin C from the right sources you won’t be getting much at all.
