I wrote about brows quite a bit, but there always seems to be something to add. No wonder, the appearance of your eyebrows is crucial; badly shaped eyebrows can make even beautiful face unattractive, distract from your eyes or make you look sad or angry.
One of the most common beauty mistakes women do is continuing doing what they were doing years ago, be that hair, makeup, clothes or brows. Our bodies and our faces change over time – the changes are very subtle and most likely you’ll be the last person to realize you look different, making it hard to adjust. Your style, your makeup and the way you groom yourself should continuously evolve, so you always look your best and up to date.
Your ideal eyebrow color
For most women, brows change their color over time, usually they gradually become lighter. This means you should use a lighter eyebrow pencil, or you’ll end up with harsh and forced-looking eyebrows. In addition, many people find that their brows look lighter during summer due to sun exposure; so your summer look should be slightly different from your winter look.
Another thing to keep in mind is that your natural eyebrow color is about two shades darker than your natural hair color, so if you highlight your hair or change the color of your hair, you should adjust the color of your brows accordingly. For example, this is not good…
Don’t wax your brows
Waxing wasn’t invented for brows; it was invented for quick hair removal on large areas of the body, which is a great method but is not suitable for shaping eyebrows. Eye area is very delicate and requires extra care; you don’t want scars around your eyes. In addition, if you are using Renova or Retin-A, you shouldn’t wax at all, because the wax can pull off the top layer of your skin.
