Your eyes are your best and most important feature so tidy and well-shaped brows are crucial. Brows add definition to your face and they also add an attitude.
Good brows divert attention from the issues you are not proud of, such as dark circles and crow’s feet. Bad brows make you look outdated. No matter how great your makeup is and how fashionable your clothes are, bad brows will ruin your looks.
Bushy brows
No one will blame you for being too natural. However, this doesn’t mean that you don’t have to brush, trim and groom your brows. Being yourself or being natural is a good choice, but you shouldn’t look unkempt.
Too fashionable
Fashion designers and makeup artists like to experiment. They are in an extremely competitive business and are always under pressure of being original and creating something new. Just take a look at a typical fashion show. Chances are you have a hard time to imagine yourself wearing this type of clothes. If you were daring enough to actually wear this, people would stare at you as if you were an alien.
The same goes for makeup and eyebrow trends. If the current trend is to exaggerate brows, bleach them or eliminate them completely, chances are it has little relevance to your life and is not appropriate for you. It’s just like those weird designer clothes.
Trying to do it yourself
While it’s possible to do this yourself, the results won’t be half as good as expert’s work. Once your brows are shaped by an expert, you will need to continue maintenance visits every three to four weeks. It’s not that costly and the payoff is worth it.
Ask your friends for referrals. It’s best to go to someone whose work you’ve seen.
Forgetting to moisturize your brow area
Brow area is no different than any other part of your face and needs an appropriate care. Flaky, dry skin between and around the brows will inhibit makeup application, making you look unhealthy. Rub the moisturizer through your brows every night to condition your brow area.
